Project: PRAGMA (Pacific Rim Application and Grid Middleware Assembly)

Research Goals: (PRAGMA) was formed to establish sustained collaborations and advance the use of grid technologies in applications among a community of investigators working with leading institutions around the Pacific Rim. In PRAGMA, applications are the key integrating focus that bring together the necessary infrastructure and middleware to advance the application's goals. GEON is working with PRAGMA to link geosciences researchers in PRAGMA member countries with GEON geosciences efforts. In particular, we have already developed strong links with researchers in Canada (GSC), Mexico (CICESE, Ensanada), China (Geodynamics Lab, Beijing), and Australia (the AEON project).
GEON also supports the highly successful Pacific Rim Undergraduate Experiences (PRIME) project undertaken by PRAGMA.
