Geological Survey of Canada (GSC)

Participation –Boyan Brodaric of GSC is one of the research staff members of the GEON project. Boyan has been instrumental in developing the strategy for use of advanced knowledge representation schemes in GEON and also in initiating an effort to deploy a GSC GEON node which will serve data sets for North Amercia, of interest to GEON science. This will be via a Web Mapping Server (WMS) that will be deployed within the WestGrid infrastructure in Vancouver, BC. Murray Journay also participates in ontology development efforts in GEON.
